Seun Bakare - Executive Director
Seun is an international human rights lawyer of 16 years post-call. He has practiced law across different countries in at least, 2 different continents. His versatility extends to law practices before regional and global tribunals including the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights ( the African Union’s premier human rights organ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC). He has also been a legal researcher and scholar par excellence. He was a scientific researcher at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies (Leiden University’s public international law department). Between 2018 and 2022, he was director of programs and the head of research, campaign and advocacy teams at Amnesty International Nigeria. His expertise cuts across different aspects of public international law. He holds a masters in international human rights law from the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria and has just completed a PhD in international criminal law and global justice from the Leiden University. Seun brings a wealth of experience in NGO programming to his role as Founder and Executive Director of CPA.
Temi Alalade - Program Associate
Temi Alalade is a passionate Pan-Africanist, writer, and researcher with a deep commitment to leveraging technology ethically to combat human rights violations. She dedicates herself to inspiring youth through creativity to bring about positive change in their communities. Temi has co-hosted numerous online and offline events, motivating young individuals to actively participate in governance and civic activities. With a background in projects addressing misinformation, sexual and gender-based violence, and previous collaboration with WITNESS's Africa regional team, Temi possesses a wealth of experience. Her affiliation with the British Computer Society drives her mission to bridge the digital divide, demonstrating how technology can empower individuals to document injustices and enhance their lives. Currently serving as a Program Associate at Climate Peace Alliance, Temi is unwavering in her commitment to fostering global change.
